Plot
The movie begins at the North Pole with Santa Claus (George Wendt) and his dog Santa Paws (Tom Bosley) taking a look at the magical Christmas Icicle, which is melting because of nobody believing in Christmas anymore and if it continues to melt, Christmas will be gone forever.

Puppy Paws (Zachary Gordon) is the fun-loving son of Santa Paws who gets tired of the North Pole and finds Budderball on Santa's naughty list for eating the Thanksgiving turkey and figures he's just the dog to show him how to be an ordinary pup.

The film then moves forward to The Buddies (Field Cate, Liliana Mumy, Josh Flitter, Skyler Gisondo, Ty Panitz) in Fernfield, who also don't have any Christmas spirit, believe that their father is Santa Paws and that the naughty list is a way to scare them to behave. However, Sniffer (Tim Conway) replies that Christmas is about giving and a holiday they must learn to respect.

The Christmas Icicle makes a big crack and shuts of the power at the North Pole and makes the reindeer weak and powerless (earlier before he left the North Pole, Puppy Paws stares at the icicle stating "I wish Christmas would just disappear" causing it to crack).

Puppy Paws makes it to Fernfield to find Budderball in his home and Budderball himself introduces Puppy Paws to his brothers and sister and the North Pole puppy causes trouble to each of the Buddies: Budderball gets framed for eating the gingerbread cookies as he tries to get back on the nice list, B-Dawg gets beaten by Puppy Paws at dancing who even breaks a vase, Mudbud teaches Puppy Paws to roll in the dirt and unaware not to shake dirt out of his fur in the living room makes holiday shapes of the dirt spots causing Mudbud to wear a cover-up coat for the rest of the day, Rosebud gets an extreme Christmas makeover, and Buddha's medidation statue gets turned into a snowman as Puppy Paws explains that the snowman is "what citizens of the North Pole medidate in front of".

Therefore, due to the incidents, the Buddies want Puppy Paws to leave. But, they learn that Puppy Paws isn't hurting them as they are hurting themselves and decide to treat him with compassionate. Suddenly, Puppy Paws gets dognapped by a dog catcher named Mr. Stan Cruge (Christopher Lloyd) and takes him to the pound. There, Puppy Paws meets a puppy named Tiny (Kaitlyn Maher) who is wishing for a Christmas miracle and sings a song about miracles, which teaches Puppy Paws himself about the true meaning of Christmas.

The Buddies, along with an elf dog named Eddy (Richard Kind), have come to the rescue. With Tiny and Eddy still in the pound, the elf dog speaks to Cruge that he knows the dog catcher always wanted a puppy for Christmas, but his mother was allergic to dogs and never got one, which made Cruge hate Christmas and becoming a dog catcher. Eddy becomes free from the pound and changes Cruge.

With help fom an elf named Eli (Danny Woodburn), Christmas spirit returns, the Christmas Icicle stops melting, and the North Pole is back in business, with Puppy Paws and the Buddies making it to the North Pole. The reindeer are not able to fly and Puppy Paws and the Buddies volunteer to save Christmas. A changed Mr. Cruge brings Tiny over to the child who has been asking for a puppy as a Christmas present and Tiny herself says her goodbye to the Buddies and Puppy Paws. After their last delivery, Santa Claus and Santa Paws arrive in Fernfield and Santa makes the Buddies (including Budderball) on top of the nice list, Puppy Paws becomes one of Santa's family, and the Buddies say farewell.

Mr. Cruge gets invited to dinner with Tiny's new family and the movie ends with the entire town, led by Cruge, singing "Silent Night" in front of Fernfield's Christmas Tree as celebrating the holidays.

The fairies (Mae Whitman, Kristin Chenoweth, Lucy Liu, Raven-Symone, Angela Bartys) are bringing to the mainland the season of leaves, hibernation, chilly breezes, and pumpkins: Autumn. Every eight years, there is a blue harvest moon in Pixie Hollow. When the light of this blue moon passes through the rare and precious moonstone, it creates blue pixie dust to rejuvenate the pixie dust tree. The Autumn Revelry is the associated event during which the fairies gather to collect this rare dust and to bring it to the tree.

In order to have this revelry though, a new scepter is to be made (to raise up the moonstone) by a fairy of the next talent group in line--this time it’s the Tinkers. Tinker Bell is recommended to create the new scepter, but as she goes to work, she has trouble coping with her friend Terence (Jesse McCartney) as he tries too hard to be helpful. Tinker Bell finds him annoying and noisy. An accident or two occur, causing her almost-finished scepter as well as the very delicate moonstone to break. To set things right again,Tink learns she can set out on a quest (during which she meets Blaze, an errant firefly) to find a magic mirror, which grants three wishes. However, pirates had already used up two of the wishes before they lost the mirror. This means Tinker Bell only has one chance to make a wish with it.

Tinker bell finally recovers the mirror, with Blaze’s help, but she wastes the wish on an anxious Blaze: “I wish you would be quiet for a minute!” Blaze’s tail stops glowing. In tears and anguish, she wishes for Terence, her best friend, knowing it won’t work. But Terence nevertheless is really standing behind her--he had been following her after discovering her plans, and fragments of the moonstone, in her empty house. They leave the island together, and as they head back to Pixie Hollow, Tink is still worried. Then she has an idea: they fix the scepter using a white gem from atop the mirror, the scepter pieces Terence has wisely brought, and the moonstone pieces, all set at just the right angle. With all her adventures, she discovers the magic of friendship, humility (not blaming others for everything) and love, and thanks to inspired teamwork with Terence, she is ready to give the scepter to Queen Clarion.

When she unveils the scepter, the assembled throng see the moonstone fragments and are alarmed. Tink murmurs, “Please work!” The rays of the blue moon fall upon the scepter, reflecting through all the moonstone fragments, thus making the most blue pixie dust ever seen in Pixie Hollow. Tinker Bell then leads the fairies to the tree where they strengthen it once more. The movie ends with the song "Take to the Sky".

Plot
The Buddies (Field Cate, Liliana Mumy, Josh Flitter, Skyler Gisondo, Henry Hodges) sneak aboard the experimental space shuttle Vision 1, privately funded and owned by a company called Vision Enterprises. The five dogs are sealed into the shuttle, which is controlled remotely at mission control for its first flight. In an effort to refuel, they come across the old R.R.S.S. (Russian Research Space Station), finding a cosmonaut, named Yuri (Diedrich Bader), and his dog Spudnick (Jason Earles) that are stationed there The cosmonaut is quite content to stay in space, yet the dog wishes to get home They also meet a ferret named Gravity (Amy Sedaris), who is the Buddies' mission control. On their mission, they have to battle an evil scientist trying to wreck the mission, and get back home to Earth.
